A stellar performance between the pipes by Shalynn Perry helped Rainy River Community College defeat Iowa State University, 2-1.

Rainy River Community College's penalty kill excelled, as Rainy River Community College gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

Rainy River Community College was sparked by Micah Cabral, who registered one goal. Cabral scored on the power play 18:25 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Rainy River Community College. A cross checking penalty on Jessica Bangen had put Rainy River Community College on the power play. Katie Sinclair assisted on the tally.
