Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) uses shootout to best Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM), 3-2 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) defeated Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) in a shootout 3-2 (2-0 SO).

The shootout lasted for eight attempts between the teams. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM)'s other shootout goal was scored by MITCHELL CULVER.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) kept Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Harrison Feeney made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) was helped by Brendan Miller, who tallied one goal. Miller scored on the power play 2:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM). BRYCE FERRELL assisted on the tally. Michael Bevilacqua also scored for Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) were CULVER and MICHAEL BENAQUIST, who each chipped in one.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) was helped by Joe Kubachka, who registered one goal. Kubachka scored on the power play 13:08 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) earned a power play opportunity when MATTHEW BUCHBINDER was put in the box for interference. Andrew Hart picked up the assist. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) also got points from Hart, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) received assists from Chris DalFarra, Tiernan Seningen, and Bobby Wurster, who contributed one each.

BRIAN KOWALSKI recorded 24 saves for Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM). Buffalo Jr. Sabres (MM) incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
