Huge game by Wurster boosts Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) over New Jersey Rockets (MM), 5-2

Bobby Wurster had one goal and two assists to lead Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) to a 5-2 victory over New Jersey Rockets (MM).

Wurster beat Thomas McCarthy with a shot 29 seconds into the second period on the power play to make the score 1-0 Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM). Wurster dished an assist on Jake Horacek's goal that made the score 2-0 Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) at 6:34 into the second period. He added another helper on Colin Valentine's goal that made the score 5-1 Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) at 3:45 into the third period.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

New Jersey Rockets (MM) was unable to stop Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) finished with 37 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) additionally got points from Valentine, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Tiernan Seningen also scored for Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM). Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) were Jarrett Slear, Jay Furst, and Dylan McArthur, who each chipped in one.

New Jersey Rockets (MM) also got a goal from Ian Damiani as well. More assists for New Jersey Rockets (MM) came via Michael Longhintano and Brian Parker, who contributed one each.

Harrison Feeney made 18 saves for Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) on 20 shots. For Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM), McArthur was ejected from the game. McCarthy rejected 37 shots on goal for New Jersey Rockets (MM). New Jersey Rockets (MM) ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dominick Tirro was ejected from the game.
