Chicago Fury (MM) came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Chicago Fury (MM) trailed 2-0 after a power play goal by St. Louis AAA Blues (MM)'s Jeff Makowski at 9:27 in the first period. Chicago Fury (MM) knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Makowski at 16:17 in the third period.

Chicago Fury (MM)'s penalty kill excelled, as Chicago Fury (MM) gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

Chicago Fury (MM) forced St. Louis AAA Blues (MM) goalie Tommy Nappier to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots. Chicago Fury (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.
