Nichols School outlasts Ridley College, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Nichols School Vikings escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Ridley College Tigers.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Dylan Seitz's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Nichols School was paced by Seitz, who tallied one goal and one assist. Seitz scored 10:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Nichols School. Cody Fleckenstein assisted on the tally.

Ridley College was unable to stop the Vikings from sending pucks towards the net, and Nichols School eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. The Vikings were held back by their power play unit, which tallied one goal on nine chances.

Nichols School also had goals scored by Ross Cominsky and Harrison Oates, who scored one goal each. In addition, Nichols School received assists from Zac Herrmann, who had one and Sam Jones, who had two.

The Tigers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Ridley College was helped by Christian Girhiny, who had one goal. Girhiny scored 11:33 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Will Lochead picked up the assist. Charles Levesque also scored for Ridley College. More assists for Ridley College came via Brien Jake and Mack Berkhout, who each chipped in one.

Jerry Baerwitz recorded 19 saves for Nichols School. The Vikings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Tigers' Evan DeBrouwer stopped 47 shots out of the 50 that he faced. Ridley College registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
