Nichols School downs Upper Canada College, 4-1H.C. Griffith Complex - Ridley Fri, Feb 06, 2015 Zac Herrmann had one point to lead the Nichols School Vikings to a 4-1 victory over the Upper Canada College Blues. Nichols School put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Upper Canada College to score on any of its five power plays. The Blues were unable to stop the Vikings from sending pucks towards the net, and Nichols School eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The defensemen of the Vikings were also effective in Upper Canada College's zone, and came away with two goals. Nichols School also got points from Nick Passafiume, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Nichols School included Anthony Scanzuso and Dylan Seitz, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Nichols School were Cody Fleckenstein, Griffin Lunn, Harrison Oates, and Keaton Arkeilpane, who each chipped in one. The Blues' offense were handcuffed by Nichols School's defensive play, and Upper Canada College managed only 10 shots on goal during the game. The Blues could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game. Upper Canada College was led by Lee Marlowe, who scored the team's only goal. Marlowe scored 4:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Cameron White picked up the assist. Jerry Baerwitz made nine saves for the Vikings on 10 shots. Nichols School incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Jack Pendrith rejected 28 shots on goal for the Blues.
