Ridley College holds on for 3-2 win against St. Michaels CollegeSt. Michaels Rink Sat, Jan 10, 2015 The Ridley College Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the St. Michaels College Majors on the way to a 3-2 win. Ridley College took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have St. Michaels College storm back on a Michael Byrne goal 16:53 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Connor Hill had two goals to lead the Tigers to victory. Ridley College's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five St. Michaels College power plays. Alex Herbert also scored for Ridley College. More assists for Ridley College came via Brien Jake, who had one and Cole Cameron and Noah Tooke, who contributed two each. The Majors forced the Tigers goalie Cam Gray to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The defense for St. Michaels College tightened up when it had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 11 Ridley College power plays. St. Michaels College also got a goal from Andrew Petrucci as well. In addition, St. Michaels College received assists from Cabot Mackenzie, Warren Jeffrey, Marco Violo, and Jack Clarke, who each chipped in one. Gray recorded 35 saves for the Tigers. Ridley College incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Majors' Spiros Koskinas stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. St. Michaels College incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors.
