Rhode Island University of survives Massachusetts University of comeback, wins 3-1

The Massachusetts University of Minutemen almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Rhode Island University of Rams managed to pull out a 3-1 win in the end.

Rhode Island University of led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Rams' Janessa Courtney scored at 4:42 in the second period to put Rhode Island University of up 3-0.

Massachusetts University of was stymied by the Rams' netminder Sarah Ross, who stopped 26 shots during the victory. Ross certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.88 entering the contest.

Rhode Island University of was led by Monica Darby, who registered one goal. Darby scored 42 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Rhode Island University of. Marykate Stimpson picked up the assist.
