Joel Prpic lifted the Brantford Blast to a 7-4 victory with a hat trick against the Whitby Dunlops. Prpic's first goal came 3:04 into the third period. He then added goals at 11:59 into the third and at 19:23 into the third.Whitby was unable to stop Brantford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blast eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Brantford's goal total was higher than its season average. The Blast average 4.6 goals per game. Brantford additionally got points from Derek Medeiros, who also had two goals and two assists. Others who scored for Brantford included Cam Sault and Jeff Caister, who each put in one. In addition, Brantford received assists from Brandon Dietrich, who had two, Dave Russell, who had three, and Andrew Marcoux, Kevin Christmas, Jamie Williams, and Chris Leveille, who each chipped in one. The Dunlops' offense rang up 33 shots on Brantford's net. Whitby found itself short handed often, totaling 29 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays. The Dunlops were led by Brett McConnachie, who finished with one goal and one assist. McConnachie scored 17:16 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Brantford. Patrick Jobb picked up the assist. Whitby also got points from Jobb, who also registered one goal and one assist.
