Dundas downs Norwood, 5-2

Keegan Rowe had two points to lead the Dundas Real McCoys to a 5-2 victory over the Norwood Vipers.

Dundas put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Norwood to score on any of its four power plays. The Real McCoys forced the Vipers goalie bourderpaul to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Dundas also got points from Curtis Campbell, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Shawn Snider, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Omar Ennaffati, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Chris McGuffin also scored for Dundas. In addition, Dundas received assists from Simon Mangos, Adam Ostermier, Colin Isnor, and Scott Stafford, who each chipped in one.

Norwood excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Dundas was unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and Norwood eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Vipers were helped by James Diminie, who had one goal. Diminie scored 12:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Norwood. Kevin Taylor picked up the assist. Norwood also got a goal from Joe Curry as well. Other players who recorded assists for Norwood were Will Jones, Darren Doherty, and Mike Hanna, who contributed one each.

The Real McCoys' Mike Mole stopped 39 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Dundas incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Bourderpaul made 39 saves for Norwood on 44 shots. The Vipers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
