Huge game by Laflamme boosts Adrian College over California University of Pennsylvan, 4-0

Nichole Laflamme had two goals and one assist to lead the Adrian College Bulldog to a 4-0 victory over California University of Pennsylvan.

Laflamme's tallies came on the power play at 3:13 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Adrian College and 6:07 into the second to make the score 3-0 Adrian College.

Adrian College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. California University of Pennsylvan was unable to stop the Bulldog from sending pucks towards the net, and Adrian College eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. The Bulldog could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

Adrian College also had goals scored by Summer Frey and Amanda Antos, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Adrian College were Cara Harm, who had two and Jenna Jubinville, Jessica Rushing, Lauren Hughes, Kaylee Harnen, and Valerie Twigg, who each chipped in one.

California University of Pennsylvan could not produce up to its normal offensive output. California University of Pennsylvan puts an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. California University of Pennsylvan did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting nine shots on net to force nine saves. California University of Pennsylvan was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes.

Alison Dungey rejected nine shots on goal for Adrian College. The Bulldog registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Maria Sciacca made 35 saves for California University of Pennsylvan on 39 shots.
