Adrian College made the score 3-0 on a goal by Morgan Poole at 12:59 in the second period, and California University of Pennsylvan got as close as 3-1 when Hayley Dhondt scored 13:41 into the third period. The Bulldog's penalty kill excelled, as Adrian College gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. The Bulldog stifled California University of Pennsylvan's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Adrian College forced California University of Pennsylvan goalie Maria Sciacca to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots. The Bulldog were helped by Nichole Laflamme, who had one goal. Laflamme scored 4:34 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Adrian College. Valerie Twigg provided the assist. Adrian College also got points from Poole, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Adrian College also got a goal from Rebecca Napoli as well. More assists for Adrian College came via Paige Fuoco, Jenna Jubinville, and Amanda Antos, who contributed one each. California University of Pennsylvan did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. California University of Pennsylvan puts an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. California University of Pennsylvan found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere nine shots against Adrian College's defense. California University of Pennsylvan could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.
