The Adrian College Bulldog relied on the sparkling performance of Emily Michelin in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Grand Valley State University Lakers.

Adrian College's penalty kill excelled, as the Bulldog gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

Adrian College was paced by Nichole Laflamme, who finished with one goal. Laflamme scored on the power play 17:34 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Adrian College. The Bulldog had gotten the advantage when Grand Valley State University's Frankie Wojtylo was sent off for body checking.

Adrian College's offense rang up 32 shots on the Lakers' net. The Bulldog could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Adrian College also got a goal from Jessica Fabbro as well. More assists for Adrian College came via Cara Harm, who had one.

Grand Valley State University kept Adrian College's goalie busy throughout the game, and Michelin made 30 saves on 31 shots.

The Lakers were led by Kristen Iannuzzi, who scored the team's only goal. Iannuzzi scored on the power play 13:22 into the second period to make the score 1-1.
