MISSISSAUGA survives LONDON comeback, wins 4-3

MISSISSAUGA survived a determined comeback attempt by LONDON on the way to a 4-3 win.

MISSISSAUGA made the score 4-2 on a goal by Lindsay Agnew at 15:07 in the third period, and LONDON got as close as 4-3 when Sydnee Baker scored 18:22 into the third period.

In the losing effort, LONDON was led by Lexie Adzija, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Adzija scored the first of her two goals at 6:17 into the second period to make the score 1-0 LONDON. Bryce Desa picked up the assist. Adzija's next tally made the score 3-2 MISSISSAUGA with 7:14 left in the third period.

MISSISSAUGA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

MISSISSAUGA additionally got points from Stephanie Sucharda (A), who also finished with one goal and one assist and Emily Pinto, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Shana Walker also scored for MISSISSAUGA. Other players who recorded assists for MISSISSAUGA were Kelly Mariani (C), who had two and Ashlee Lawrence, Kyra Colbert, and Brooke Bonsteel, who each chipped in one.

LONDON's offense rang up 32 shots on MISSISSAUGA's net.

In addition, LONDON received assists from Beatrice Dufour and April Clark (A), who contributed one each.

Lin Han rejected 29 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Molly Jenkins recorded 24 saves for LONDON. LONDON incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
