OTTAWA boosted by Spinozzi's play in net, beats CAMBRIDGE 4-1

Elizabeth Spinozzi had a standout game with 26 saves, and OTTAWA beat CAMBRIDGE 4-1.

OTTAWA was led by Leah Buchanan (A), who racked up one goal. Buchanan (A) scored 1:50 into the third period to make the score 2-1 OTTAWA. Caitlin Shanahan picked up the assist.

OTTAWA put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CAMBRIDGE to score on any of its four power plays.

Others who scored for OTTAWA included Kimiko Marinacci (C), Tasza Tarnowski, and Coralie Larose, who each put in one. In addition, OTTAWA received assists from Maggie Knott, who had two and Anonda Hoppner and Katherine Chadwick, who contributed one each.

CAMBRIDGE's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. CAMBRIDGE averages 1.5 goal allowed per game.

CAMBRIDGE was led by Rachel Holden, who scored the team's only goal. Holden scored 14:43 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Rachael Irvine assisted on the tally.

OTTAWA incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Lauren Webber recorded 17 saves for CAMBRIDGE. CAMBRIDGE incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
