WATERLOO beats LEASIDE 4-0 as Myers gains shutout

WATERLOO used a sparkling performance by Cohen Myers to take down LEASIDE, as the netminder did not allow a goal in WATERLOO's 4-0 shutout victory.

Megan Johnston was all over the ice for WATERLOO, as she tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Johnston scored 54 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 WATERLOO. Sarah Rettinger assisted on the tally.

WATERLOO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LEASIDE to score on any of its five power plays. WATERLOO's defensive effort looked to be improved. WATERLOO gives up 2.1 goals on average per game. WATERLOO outdid its season average for goals scored. WATERLOO averages 1.3 goal per game.

WATERLOO also had goals scored by Megan Fergusson, Carly AuCoin, and Tailor Campbell, who each put in one. More assists for WATERLOO came via Claire Renouf and Lexi Templeman, who contributed one each.
