BRAMPTON and SOUTHWEST skate to 4-4 (OT) tie

Rose Falzone banged in two goals and Kianna Reeve also chipped in one point, but BRAMPTON still tied SOUTHWEST, 4-4 (OT).

BRAMPTON's offense rang up 43 shots on SOUTHWEST's net. BRAMPTON surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, BRAMPTON averages 1.6 goal per contest. The defensemen of BRAMPTON were also effective in SOUTHWEST's zone, and came away with two goals.

BRAMPTON also got a goal from Melissa Tolton as well. Other players who recorded assists for BRAMPTON were Kaitlyn McAllister, who had two and Lauren McDonald and Nicole Augello (PU), who contributed one each.

SOUTHWEST managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. SOUTHWEST finished below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. SOUTHWEST forced BRAMPTON goalie Allison Small to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. SOUTHWEST outdid its season average for goals scored. SOUTHWEST averages 1.4 goal per game.

SOUTHWEST was led by Janice Hoiting, who tallied two goals. Hoiting scored the first of her two goals at 4:17 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Angeline Taiariol (A) picked up the assist. Hoiting's next tally made the score 3-2 BRAMPTON with 11:31 left in the third period. Taiariol (A) provided the assist. SOUTHWEST also got points from Savannah Bouzide, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Sara Mayrand (C) also scored for SOUTHWEST. More assists for SOUTHWEST came via Amy Maitre, who had one and Muna Fadel, who had two.

Small rejected 27 shots on goal for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. SOUTHWEST's Alex Rajsigl stopped 39 shots out of the 43 that she faced. SOUTHWEST registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
