MISSISSAUGA survives WATERLOO comeback, wins 3-1

WATERLOO tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but MISSISSAUGA would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-1.

A goal by Emily Pinto put MISSISSAUGA up 3-0 in the third period, but WATERLOO pulled to within two on Kendra Puttick (C)'s tally 16:41 into the third period.

Pinto had a great game for MISSISSAUGA, netting two goals.

MISSISSAUGA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. MISSISSAUGA ended up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game.

Ashlee Lawrence also scored for MISSISSAUGA. In addition, MISSISSAUGA received assists from Nadine Edney (A), who had one and Dana Bryce and Kelly Mariani (C), who contributed two each.

More assists for WATERLOO came via Lexi Templeman and Tailor Campbell, who each chipped in one.

Lin Han rejected 21 shots on goal for MISSISSAUGA. MISSISSAUGA registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Cohen Myers recorded 15 saves for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
