WHITBY's Avery Mitchell scored 3:48 into overtime to beat WATERLOO, 2-1 (OT).

WHITBY was led by Mitchell, who racked up one goal.

WHITBY excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. WHITBY's offense rang up 51 shots on WATERLOO's net.

WHITBY also got a goal from Rhyen McGill(C) as well. In addition, WHITBY received assists from Jaime Fox, Katelyn Rae, Emily Volpe, and Cassidy Vinkle(A), who contributed one each.

WATERLOO put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WHITBY to score on any of its six power plays. WATERLOO's offense was handcuffed by WHITBY's defensive play, and WATERLOO managed only 13 shots on goal during the game.

WATERLOO was led by Kaillie Hardy, who scored the team's only goal. Hardy scored 8:50 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Carly AuCoin provided the assist.
