Behind a great game by Amy Curlew, who had two goals, OAKVILLE defeated MISSISSAUGA, 2-1. Curlew found the back of the net 8:34 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while 3:15 into the third to make the score 2-1 OAKVILLE.OAKVILLE's Nikki Cece was a brick wall in net, as she came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past her. Despite the solid performance, Cece will actually see her goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.2 entering the contest. MISSISSAUGA's power play was ineffective against OAKVILLE's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. OAKVILLE struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 30 penalty minutes for eight opposing power plays. More assists for OAKVILLE came via Emma Maltais, Madison Field, Jaime Bourbonnais, and Mackenzie Stamper, who each chipped in one. MISSISSAUGA could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. MISSISSAUGA was led by Caitlyn Sadowy (A), who scored the team's only goal. Sadowy (A) scored 6:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Nadine Edney (A) assisted on the tally. OAKVILLE registered one goal on six power play opportunities. MISSISSAUGA's Elijah Milne-Price stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that she faced.
