Liberty University had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over Montclair State University.

Liberty University was paced by Meghan Nawyn, who racked up one goal. Nawyn scored 9:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Liberty University. Margaret Poit assisted on the tally.

Liberty University kept Montclair State University's goalie busy throughout the game, and Emily Olshefski made 85 saves on 89 shots.

Liberty University additionally got points from Emily Thomas, who also had one goal and one assist and Poit, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Jenna Holman also scored for Liberty University. Other players who recorded assists for Liberty University were Kaitlyn Nelson, who had two and Megan Shellman and Kaitlyn Scales, who each chipped in one.

Liberty University's defense shut down Montclair State University's forwards for much of the game, and Montclair State University got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Faith Gerber rejected 13 shots on goal for Liberty University. Liberty University ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Montclair State University incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
