Grand Valley State University rips Ohio State University, 4-1

The Grand Valley State University Lakers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

Grand Valley State University was paced by Hilary Daniels, who had one goal and one assist. Daniels scored on the power play 12:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Grand Valley State University. The Lakers had taken the advantage when Ohio State University's Ali Wynbrandt got sent off for cross checking. Michelle VanFleet assisted on the tally.

Grand Valley State University forced the Buckeyes goalie Emily Ciborek to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Grand Valley State University additionally got points from Frankie Wojtylo, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Alisha Day also scored for Grand Valley State University.
