A stellar performance between the pipes by Brendan Jones helped the M1 Stony Brook University Seawolves defeat the M1 Liberty University Flames, 3-1.

M1 Stony Brook University was led by Joseph Bochichio, who registered one goal. Bochichio scored 8:14 into the third period to make the score 2-1 M1 Stony Brook University. Vincent Lopes provided the assist.

The Seawolves excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. M1 Stony Brook University did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Seawolves put an average of 5.9 pucks into the net per game. M1 Stony Brook University put 29 shots on net during the contest, more than the 5.5 it averages per game. The Seawolves' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as M1 Stony Brook University finished with 20 penalty minutes.

Jones recorded 41 saves for M1 Stony Brook University. The Seawolves registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The Flames' Cary Byron stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced.
