Huge game by Sarfati boosts Lambton Shores over Fort Erie, 6-3

Behind a great game by Ethan Sarfati, who had two goals and one assist, the Lambton Shores Predators defeated the Fort Erie Meteors, 6-3.

Sarfati scored on the power play at 19:46 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Lambton Shores and again while 5:21 into the third to make the score 6-3 Lambton Shores.

Lambton Shores found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Predators average 2.9 goals per contest.

Lambton Shores additionally got points from Franco Sproveiro, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Drew Marlatt, who also had one goal and one assist, Brenden Trottier, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Sean Ross, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Lambton Shores came via Calvin Hughson, Vaughn Treppa, Brett Corrigan, Ryan Fraser, and Luke McEachnie, who each chipped in one.

Fort Erie could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Meteors were helped by Holden Garlent, who racked up one goal. Garlent scored 7:34 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Dakota Miskolczi picked up the assist. Others who scored for Fort Erie included Bryce Martin and Devin Darrah, who each put in one. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Vincent Robbins and Wade Kenny, who contributed two each.

Anthony Hurtubise made 21 saves for Lambton Shores on 24 shots. The Predators incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Fort Erie's Liam Conway stopped 22 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Meteors registered one goal on five power play opportunities. For Fort Erie, Dalton Tartaglia was ejected from the game.
