Brampton outlasts Brantford, 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Brampton Bombers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Brantford 99ers.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cameron Cruickshank at 17:06 of the third period.

Cruickshank had two goals to lead Brampton to victory.

Brantford's power play was ineffective against the Bombers' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Brampton's offense rang up 41 shots on the 99ers' net.

Brampton additionally got points from Lucas Goodman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Brampton also got a goal from Carmine Vietri as well. In addition, Brampton received assists from Robert Orlando, Anton Bura, and Chris Hill, who each chipped in one and Nick Petropoulos and Kevin Bray, who contributed two each.

Brantford kept the Bombers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jake Lawr made 30 saves on 32 shots.

The 99ers were helped by Brett Parsons, who had one goal. Parsons scored 29 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Brantford. David Storey assisted on the tally. Nathan Ferris also scored for Brantford. More assists for Brantford came via Ryon Pereira, who had one.

Brampton incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. For the Bombers, Bura was ejected from the game. Jack Moylan rejected 37 shots on goal for Brantford. The 99ers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
