The Chatham Maroons relied on the scoring touch of Luc Knight, who netted two goals, to beat the London Nationals, 7-4. Knight's tallies came at 1:48 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham and 12:52 into the third to make the score 6-4 Chatham.Chatham put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow London to score on any of its five power plays. The Maroons forced the Nationals goalie Connor Hughes to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Chatham also got points from Connor Annett, who also had one goal and one assist, Brayden Hopkins, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Alexander Morgan, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Brennan Feasey, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Chatham came via Connor McKinnon, Trevor Richardson, Steven Beenackers, and Ian Faubert, who contributed one each and Jared Dennis and Gus Ford, who each chipped in two. London kept Chatham's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bo Bessette made 31 saves on 35 shots. The Nationals were helped by Rai Di Loreto, who had one goal. Di Loreto scored 6:53 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Chatham. Tanner Lafrance provided the assist. Others who scored for London included Matt Macpherson, Tanner Ferreira, and Kyle L Robinson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for London were Austin Kemp, who had two and Justin Murray, Kevin Madden, Michael Woolley, Trevor Dulong, and Drew Worrad, who contributed one each. The Maroons incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. London's Hughes stopped 39 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The Nationals incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
