Sarnia downs LaSalle, 6-3

Bobby King had one point to lead the Sarnia Legionnaires to a 6-3 victory over the LaSalle Vipers.

Sarnia put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow LaSalle to score on any of its five power plays. The Legionnaires' offense rang up 34 shots on the Vipers' net.

Sarnia also had goals scored by Cody Trowell, who had two and Ryan Vendramin, Jay Clarke, and Ryan Trottier, who each put in one. More assists for Sarnia came via Riley Babkirk, Jake O`Donnell, Brandon Layman, and Cameron Clarke, who each chipped in one and Connor Andersen and Davis Boyer, who contributed two each.

LaSalle's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Sarnia power plays. The Vipers kept Sarnia's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Masters made 42 saves on 45 shots.

LaSalle was helped by Connor Rosaasen, who grabbed one goal. Rosaasen scored short handed 11:45 into the second period to make the score 2-2. A slashing call on Dalton Langlois put the Vipers on the penalty kill. Mark Manchurek picked up the assist. Others who scored for LaSalle included Korey Morgan and Brett Primeau, who scored one goal each. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Brett Langlois, Nikko Sablone, Tyler Russell, and Manny Silverio, who each chipped in one.

The Legionnaires incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Paolo Battisti recorded 28 saves for LaSalle. The Vipers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
