The St. Catharines Falcons' Declan Conway scored 12:02 into overtime to beat the Fort Erie Meteors, 3-2 (OT). St. Catharines was paced by Tyler Morrison, who had one goal and one assist. Morrison scored 3:19 into overtime to make the score 3-3. Ryan Doucette assisted on the tally. The Falcons put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Fort Erie to score on any of its three power plays. St. Catharines forced the Meteors goalie Liam Conway to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. St. Catharines also had goals scored by Brandon Cercone and Devon Rymarchuk, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Tyler Jackson, Nicholas Dozzi, and Tyler Hildebrant, who each chipped in one. Fort Erie found itself short handed often, totaling 26 penalty minutes and allowing five power plays. Others who scored for Fort Erie included Vito Scaringi and Alex Hurran, who scored one goal each. In addition, Fort Erie received assists from Bryce Martin, who had two and Dakota Miskolczi and Anthony Passero, who contributed one each. Ben Csiernik recorded 23 saves for the Falcons. St. Catharines incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Liam Conway made 37 saves for the Meteors on 40 shots. |
