Stratford rolls over Brantford, 4-1Allman Arena Mon, Feb 16, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Stratford Cullitons were firing on all cylinders against the Brantford 99ers, and when the final buzzer sounded Cullitons emerged with a 4-1 win. Stratford's penalty kill excelled, as the Cullitons gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. Stratford was paced by Deven Kropf, who finished with one goal. Kropf scored 19:51 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Stratford. Shane O Brien provided the assist. The Cullitons stifled Brantford's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Stratford kept the 99ers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jack Moylan made 39 saves on 43 shots. The Cullitons could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Stratford also got points from O Brien, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Brook Hiddink, who also registered one goal and one assist. Stratford also got a goal from Zach Van Louwe as well. In addition, Stratford received assists from Nathan Templeman, who had two and Joe Leahy, Jared Nash, and Mitch Brooks, who contributed one each. Brantford was led by Zander Pryor, who scored the team's only goal. Pryor scored 17:52 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Stratford. Brett Parsons picked up the assist. Nicholas Caldwell made 24 saves for Stratford on 25 shots. The Cullitons registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The 99ers incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
