The London Nationals, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by the Sarnia Legionnaires and clinched a 5-3 victory. London led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Nationals' Drew Worrad scored at 19:05 in the third period to put London up 6-3. The Nationals were sparked by Austin Kemp, who tallied one goal. Kemp scored on the power play 16:26 into the third period to make the score 5-3 London. London had taken the advantage when Sarnia's Jake O`Donnell got sent off for slashing. Scott Goodman provided the assist. The Legionnaires were unable to stop the Nationals from sending pucks towards the net, and London eventually piled up 40 shots on goal. London also got points from Kyle L Robinson, who also registered one goal and one assist and Worrad, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for London included Tanner Ferreira, Derek Todosichuk, and Kevin Madden, who each put in one. In addition, London received assists from Rai Di Loreto, who had two and Matt Macpherson and Colin Wilson, who each chipped in one. Sarnia forced the Nationals goalie Justin Tugwell to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. The Legionnaires were helped by Ryan Trottier, who had one goal. Trottier scored on the power play 11:54 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Sarnia had gotten the advantage when London's Justin Murray was sent off for holding. Cody Trowell assisted on the tally. Sarnia additionally got points from Trowell, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Ryan Vendramin also scored for Sarnia. More assists for Sarnia came via Nathan Mater, Davis Boyer, Jordan Fogarty, and Brandon Layman, who contributed one each. The Nationals' Tugwell stopped 32 shots out of the 35 that he faced. London incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Andrew Masters rejected 35 shots on goal for the Legionnaires. Sarnia incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
