Welland downs Pelham, 5-2

Josh Allan finished with one point to lead the Welland Jr. Canadians to a 5-2 victory over the Pelham Panthers.

Pelham was unable to stop Welland from sending pucks towards the net, and the Jr. Canadians eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

Welland also got points from Brayden Stortz, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Mitch Reid, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Max Cipriano, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Matt Martin also scored for Welland. In addition, Welland received assists from Thomas Flack, Kris Melna, Adam Barron, Konner Roskovich, JC Thivierge, Gabe Ruggi, and Tyler Stranges, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers were helped by Riley O Connell, who grabbed one goal. O Connell scored 8:42 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Anthony Sorrentino picked up the assist. Pelham also got a goal from Brady Cranwell as well. More assists for Pelham came via Shawn Rooke, who had one and Riley Hollowell, who had two.

Brandon McCorriston recorded 23 saves for Welland. The Jr. Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Welland ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jake Shaw was ejected from the game. Tynan Lauziere made 36 saves for Pelham on 41 shots. The Panthers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
