A hat trick by Manny Manns was the highlight in Falcons' 5-2 win against the Ancaster Avalanche. Manns' first goal came 13:28 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:40 into the second and at 13:29 into the third.Ancaster was unable to stop the St. Catharines Falcons from sending pucks towards the net, and St. Catharines eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. St. Catharines also got points from Brock Ackerman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Nicholas Dozzi also scored for St. Catharines. More assists for St. Catharines came via Tyler Morrison, who had two and Josh Miller, Ryan Doucette, Devon Rymarchuk, and Tyler Hildebrant, who each chipped in one. The Avalanche put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Falcons to score on any of their four power plays. Ancaster's offense rang up 34 shots on St. Catharines' net. The Avalanche were led by Ryan Cox, who had one goal and one assist. Cox scored short handed 11:51 into the third period to make the score 2-1 St. Catharines. Ancaster found itself down a man on Blake Luscombe's slashing. Adam Burnett provided the assist. Ancaster also got a goal from Alex Zaccaria as well. In addition, Ancaster received assists from Owen Burnell, who had one. Ben Csiernik made 32 saves for the Falcons on 34 shots. St. Catharines ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. For the Falcons, Jake Evans was ejected from the game. The Avalanche's Blake Richard stopped 27 shots out of the 31 that he faced. Ancaster totaled 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. The Avalanche ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Cole Nagy was ejected from the game.
