Derek Elliot was all over the ice for the Listowel Cyclones, as he tallied two goals in Listowel's 2-1 win over the Brantford 99ers. Elliot scored at 12:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Listowel and again while 9:24 into the third to make the score 2-1 Listowel.The Cyclones' Tyler Fassl was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 26 saves and let only one puck past him. The solid play of Fassl will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.35. Listowel's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Brantford power plays. The Cyclones' offense rang up 39 shots on Brantford's net. More assists for Listowel came via Jamie Huber, who had two and Keaton Willis and Tim Nauta, who contributed one each. The 99ers stifled Listowel's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brantford was led by Brett Parsons, who scored the team's only goal. Parsons scored 3:00 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Zander Pryor picked up the assist. The Cyclones incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
