Ryan Hergott recorded a shutout against the Guelph Hurricanes as the Listowel Cyclones picked up a 4-0 win. Listowel was sparked by Blake Pickering, who registered one goal. Pickering scored 2:08 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Listowel. Brady Anderson picked up the assist. The Cyclones put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Guelph to score on any of its three power plays. Listowel could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. Listowel also got points from Ben Shelley, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Listowel also got a goal from Ray McFalls as well. More assists for Listowel came via Caleb Warren, Garrett James, and Ben VanOotegham, who contributed one each. The Hurricanes did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Guelph puts an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game. The Cyclones were unable to stop the Hurricanes from sending pucks towards the net, and Guelph eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. The Hurricanes were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 38 penalty minutes. Ryan Hergott made 32 saves for Listowel on 32 shots. The Cyclones registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Jeremie Lintner rejected 21 shots on goal for Guelph. For the Hurricanes, Beau Browning was ejected from the game.
