Welland downs St. Catharines in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Welland Jr. Canadians' Adam Barron scored 1:40 into overtime to beat the St. Catharines Falcons, 4-3 (OT).

Welland was paced by Barron, who grabbed one goal.

The Jr. Canadians forced St. Catharines goalie Jonathan D Ilario to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Welland additionally got points from Kris Melna, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Welland also had goals scored by Jack Fitzgerald and Matt Cuglietta, who each put in one. More assists for Welland came via Gabe Ruggi, who had two, Brayden Stortz, who had three, and Cole McKnight and Max Cipriano, who each chipped in one.

The Falcons were helped by Connor Timmins, who registered one goal. Timmins scored 15:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Catharines. Manny Manns picked up the assist. St. Catharines also got points from Ryan Doucette, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. St. Catharines also got a goal from Tyler Jackson as well. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Justin Felker, Broderick Kelly, Patrick MacDonald, and Tyler Hildebrant, who contributed one each.

Chris Janzen rejected 23 shots on goal for Welland. The Jr. Canadians incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. D Ilario recorded 30 saves for St. Catharines. The Falcons incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
