Waterloo blows out Brantford, 9-1

The Waterloo Siskins were firing on all cylinders against the Brantford 99ers, and when the final buzzer sounded Siskins emerged with a 9-1 win.

Waterloo was led by Nick Trecroce, who tallied one goal. Trecroce scored 12:15 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Waterloo. Luke Gazzola provided the assist.

The Siskins forced Brantford goalie Jack Moylan to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Waterloo found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Siskins have scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Waterloo additionally got points from Tommy Rietema, who also registered one goal and one assist, Gazzola, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Kyle Betts, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Anthony Guido, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Waterloo included Michael Romund and Christian Mroczkowski, who scored two goals each. Other players who recorded assists for Waterloo were Danny Hanlon, who had three, Matt Martin, Eric Cimino, Evan Kearns, Gary Mantz, Matt Doty, and Matt Romund, who contributed one each, and Nick Hirst and Connor Bodnar, who each chipped in two.

The 99ers were led by Brett Parsons, who scored the team's only goal. Parsons scored 4:31 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Zander Pryor picked up the assist.

Bailey DeGasperis recorded 14 saves for Waterloo. The Siskins incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Brantford's Moylan stopped 36 shots out of the 45 that he faced. The 99ers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
