Anderson's goals lift Listowel to 5-2 victory over Brampton

Brady Anderson had two goals to lead the Listowel Cyclones to a 5-2 victory over the Brampton Bombers.

Anderson scored at 16:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Listowel and again while 5:13 into the second to make the score 2-0 Listowel.

Listowel forced Brampton's goalies to work all game long, launching 41 shots and forcing 36 saves. Shane Dietl made 23 stops and Jake Lawr made 13. The Cyclones' goal total was higher than their season average. Listowel averages 2.7 goals per game. The Cyclones got their opportunities on the power play, but did not convert any of their nine chances.

Others who scored for Listowel included Derek Elliot, Jordan Caskenette, and Jamie Huber, who scored one goal each. More assists for Listowel came via Keaton Willis, Blake Pickering, Caleb Warren, Tanner Mighton, Tim Nauta, and Ben Shelley, who each chipped in one.

The Bombers stifled Listowel's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Brampton was led by Kevin Bray, who had one goal. Bray scored 7:51 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Listowel. Carmine Vietri provided the assist. Nick Petropoulos also scored for Brampton. In addition, Brampton received assists from Brad Bollert and Jordan Crocker, who contributed one each.

Tyler Fassl made 28 saves for the Cyclones on 30 shots. Listowel incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Bombers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
