Peacock's hat trick boosts Caledonia over Niagara Falls, 9-1

Jordan Peacock lifted the Caledonia Corvairs to a 9-1 victory with a hat trick against the Niagara Falls Canucks.

Peacock's first goal came 10:52 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:19 into the second and at 11:33 into the third.

The game was close after the first frame, but Caledonia banged in five goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for Niagara Falls.

The Corvairs were led by goalie Kevin Entmaa, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Entmaa managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.92 prior to the game.

The Canucks were unable to stop Caledonia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Corvairs eventually piled up 51 shots on goal. Caledonia surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Corvairs average 4.7 goals per game. Caledonia found itself short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.

Caledonia also got points from Nathan Gomes, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Jake Brown, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, and Matthew Hore, who also registered one goal and one assist. Connor Patton also scored for Caledonia. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Kyle Tanev, Cosimo Fontana, Todd Ratchford, and Austin McEneny, who each chipped in one and Ryan Moran and Tyler Lepore, who contributed two each.

Niagara Falls was held below its usual level of production. The Canucks average 3.6 goals per game.

Niagara Falls was led by Austin Wright, who scored the team's only goal. Wright scored on the power play 16:51 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia. The Canucks had gained a power play chance when Brown was whistled for high sticking. Trevor Simonick provided the assist.

The Corvairs registered two goals on six power play opportunities. Dylan Pietrangelo recorded 42 saves for Niagara Falls. The Canucks incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
