Bo Bessette recorded a shutout against the Strathroy Rockets as the Chatham Maroons picked up a 3-0 win.

Chatham got the win with help from a great game by Steven Beenackers, who had one goal and two assists. Beenackers scored on the power play 2:36 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Chatham. The Maroons earned a power play opportunity when Andrew Martin was put in the box for head contact. Brayden Hopkins picked up the assist.

Chatham excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Maroons' offense rang up 65 shots on Strathroy's net.

Chatham additionally got points from Jared Dennis, who also registered one goal and one assist and Hopkins, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Chatham received assists from Connor Annett and Nate Pietens, who contributed one each.

The Rockets did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Strathroy puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game. The Rockets could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Bessette rejected 27 shots on goal for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Strathroy's Mat Ouellet stopped 62 shots out of the 65 that he faced.
