St. Catharines outlasts Fort Erie, 4-2

The St. Catharines Falcons gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Fort Erie Meteors.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Manny Manns secured the win for St. Catharines with a goal in the third period.

The Falcons were led by Manns, who grabbed one goal. Manns scored 12:22 into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Catharines. Cam Blakely provided the assist.

St. Catharines also got points from Brock Ackerman, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for St. Catharines included Tyler Morrison and Ryan Doucette, who scored one goal each. In addition, St. Catharines received assists from Jake Evans, who had three and Broderick Kelly and Nicholas Dozzi, who each chipped in one.

Fort Erie was led by Vito Scaringi, who tallied one goal and one assist. Scaringi scored on the power play 10:34 into the second period to make the score 2-2. The Meteors had gotten the advantage when St. Catharines' Bradley Lee APM was sent off for high sticking. Jared Marino picked up the assist. Fort Erie also got a goal from Riley Mocha as well. More assists for Fort Erie came via Anthony Passero, who had two.

The Falcons' Ben Csiernik stopped 13 shots out of the 15 that he faced. St. Catharines incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Liam Conway rejected 22 shots on goal for Fort Erie. The Meteors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
