Morgan's goals lift LaSalle to 3-1 victory over St. Marys

Korey Morgan had two goals to lead the LaSalle Vipers to a 3-1 victory over the St. Marys Lincolns.

Morgan scored at 6:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LaSalle and again while 19:39 into the second to make the score 3-1 LaSalle.

LaSalle's offense rang up 41 shots on St. Marys' net.

LaSalle also got a goal from Graham Pickard as well. More assists for LaSalle came via Manny Silverio, who had two and Nick Gauvin, Nikko Sablone, Nathan Veres, and Mark Manchurek, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. St. Marys ended up below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Lincolns were led by Greg Swan, who scored the team's only goal. Swan scored 3:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Nathan Smith provided the assist.

Eli Billing made 16 saves for the Vipers on 17 shots. LaSalle incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. For the Vipers, Chris Pignanelli was ejected from the game. Tyler Beattie recorded 38 saves for St. Marys. The Lincolns registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
