Caledonia falls to St. Catharines in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The St. Catharines Falcons' Tyler Morrison scored 3:33 into overtime to beat the Caledonia Corvairs, 4-3 (OT).

Morrison had two goals to lead St. Catharines to victory.

St. Catharines also had goals scored by Brock Ackerman and Nicholas Dozzi, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for St. Catharines were Broderick Kelly, who had two and Justin Felker, Tyler Jackson, Jake Evans, Ryan Doucette, Manny Manns, and Devon Rymarchuk, who contributed one each.

The Falcons were unable to stop Caledonia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Corvairs eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Caledonia's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. The Corvairs average 1.6 goal allowed per game.

Caledonia was led by Jake Brown, who racked up one goal and one assist. Brown scored on the power play 13:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Corvairs had gained a power play chance when Dozzi was whistled for holding. Matthew Hore provided the assist. Others who scored for Caledonia included Luke Sinclair and Mitch Purdie, who scored one goal each. More assists for Caledonia came via Riley Vanhorne and Connor Bramwell, who each chipped in one.

St. Catharines' Ben Csiernik stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Falcons totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. St. Catharines ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Manns was ejected from the game. Kevin Entmaa recorded 26 saves for Caledonia. The Corvairs totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. For Caledonia, Austin McEneny was ejected from the game.
