Caledonia downs Welland, 4-1

Connor Bramwell registered one point to lead the Caledonia Corvairs to a 4-1 victory over the Welland Jr. Canadians.

Caledonia excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Welland was unable to stop the Corvairs from sending pucks towards the net, and Caledonia eventually piled up 53 shots on goal.

Caledonia also got points from Kyle Tanev, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Tyler Lepore, who also had one goal and one assist. Caledonia also got a goal from Jordan Peacock as well. In addition, Caledonia received assists from Mitch Purdie, who had two and Ryan Moran, Jake Brown, Matthew Hore, and Todd Ratchford, who each chipped in one.

The Jr. Canadians were held below their usual level of production. Welland averages 3.6 goals per game.

The Jr. Canadians were led by Brayden Stortz, who scored the team's only goal. Stortz scored 1:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Welland. Mitch Reid picked up the assist.

Marc Sinclair recorded 17 saves for the Corvairs. Caledonia incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Chris Janzen rejected 49 shots on goal for Welland. The Jr. Canadians incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
