Caledonia rips Pelham, 6-1Haldimand Center Sat, Jan 03, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Caledonia Corvairs were firing on all cylinders against the Pelham Panthers, and when the final buzzer sounded Corvairs emerged with a 6-1 win. Jordan Peacock was all over the ice for Caledonia, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Peacock scored the first of his two goals at 16:40 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Caledonia. Jake Brown provided the assist. Peacock's next tally made the score 5-1 Caledonia with 12:09 left in the third period. Justin Abraham assisted on the tally. The Corvairs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Caledonia forced Pelham goalie Tynan Lauziere to work between the pipes, taking 60 shots. Caledonia also got points from Matthew Hore, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Caledonia included Connor Patton, Nathan Gomes, and Cosimo Fontana, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Caledonia were Austin McEneny, who had two and Luke Sinclair, Kyle Tanev, and Todd Ratchford, who each chipped in one. The Panthers found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against the Corvairs' defense. Pelham was led by Thomas Young, who scored the team's only goal. Young scored 8:12 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pelham. Riley O Connell picked up the assist. Kevin Entmaa recorded 12 saves for Caledonia. The Corvairs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Lauziere rejected 54 shots on goal for the Panthers. Pelham incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For the Panthers, Ciaran Morgan was ejected from the game.
