Kitchener boosted by McIntosh's play in net, beats Listowel 4-1

Jackson McIntosh stood on his head and made 28 saves to lead the Kitchener Dutchmen to a 4-1 victory over the Listowel Cyclones.

Kitchener was led by Mitchell Smith, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Smith scored 2:55 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kitchener. Philip Moser assisted on the tally.

The Dutchmen put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Listowel to score on any of its five power plays. Kitchener's offense rang up 35 shots on the Cyclones' net.

Kitchener additionally got points from Moser, who also registered one goal and one assist. Kitchener also had goals scored by Alex Demrovsky and Adam Kawalec, who each put in one. More assists for Kitchener came via Kyle Ellis, Austin Gaboury, Nic Hague, Matt Scott, and Jeremy Kuehn, who contributed one each.

Listowel excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

The Dutchmen incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Tyler Fassl rejected 31 shots on goal for the Cyclones. Listowel incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
