Bodnar's goals lift Waterloo to 6-3 victory over Listowel

Connor Bodnar was all over the ice for the Waterloo Siskins, as he tallied two goals in Waterloo's 6-3 win over the Listowel Cyclones.

Bodnar's tallies came at 3:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Waterloo and 16:36 into the third to make the score 5-3 Waterloo.

The Siskins forced Listowel goalie Ryan Hergott to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Waterloo additionally got points from Evan Kearns, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Gary Mantz, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Chase Campbell, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Waterloo also got a goal from Josh De Farias as well. In addition, Waterloo received assists from Eric Cimino, Matt Doty, Kyle Betts, and Anthony Guido, who contributed one each and Christian Mroczkowski and Luke Gazzola, who each chipped in two.

The Cyclones' offense rang up 31 shots on Waterloo's net. Listowel's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

The Cyclones were helped by Brad Yowart, who registered one goal. Yowart scored 3:56 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Waterloo. Chayse Herrfort picked up the assist. Others who scored for Listowel included Derek Elliot and Chad Lemire, who each put in one. More assists for Listowel came via Jordan Caskenette, who had two and Brady Anderson, Kevin Gergley, and Ben Shelley, who contributed one each.

Evgeny Kiselev rejected 28 shots on goal for the Siskins. Waterloo incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Listowel's Hergott stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Cyclones incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
