LaSalle shrugs off penalties, upends St. Marys, 4-1

The LaSalle Vipers, which found themselves down a man often, weathered the St. Marys Lincolns' power play opportunities and emerged with a 4-1 victory.

LaSalle was led by Daniel Beaudoin, who finished with one goal. Beaudoin scored on the power play 19:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 LaSalle. The Vipers earned a power play opportunity when Jake Alkins was put in the box for hooking. Nathan Savage picked up the assist.

LaSalle's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six St. Marys power plays. St. Marys was unable to stop the Vipers from sending pucks towards the net, and LaSalle eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.

Others who scored for LaSalle included Korey Morgan, Tyler Russell, and Connor Rosaasen, who each put in one. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Brett Langlois, who had two and Nick Gauvin, Nathan Veres, Dylan Naumovski, Graham Pickard, and Dalton Langlois, who each chipped in one.

The Lincolns were led by Robert Clifford, who scored the team's only goal. Clifford scored 3:28 into the second period to make the score 1-0 St. Marys. Trent Dundas assisted on the tally.

Paolo Battisti rejected 23 shots on goal for the Vipers. LaSalle incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. For the Vipers, Nikko Sablone and Brendan McGhee were ejected from the contest. Andrew Masters recorded 47 saves for St. Marys. The Lincolns incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
