Elmira's Coulter deadly on offense in 6-3 win against Brantford

Zac Coulter was all over the ice for the Elmira Sugar Kings, as he tallied two goals in Elmira's 6-3 win over the Brantford 99ers.

Coulter found the back of the net 2:42 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Elmira and again while 19:07 into the third to make the score 6-3 Elmira.

The Sugar Kings kept Brantford's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jack Moylan made 42 saves on 48 shots. Elmira's penalty kill unit could not stop the 99ers' power play, which converted on two of three opportunities.

Elmira additionally got points from Eric Palazzolo, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Klayton Hoelscher, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brendan Schneider, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Jamie Huber also scored for Elmira. More assists for Elmira came via Mac Clutsam, who had two, Mitch Klie, who had three, and Adam Brubacher, Ethan Skinner, and Steven Jakiela, who each chipped in one.

Brantford forced the Sugar Kings goalie Andrew Lefebvre to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

The 99ers were helped by Zander Pryor, who tallied one goal and one assist. Pryor scored 14:40 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Elmira. Brett Parsons provided the assist. Brantford also got points from Gus Ford, who also had one goal and one assist and Parsons, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Brantford received assists from Matthew Woods, who had one and Cole Cummings, who had two.

Lefebvre recorded 29 saves for Elmira. The Sugar Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Brantford incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
