The game between the Niagara Falls Canucks and the Welland Jr. Canadians was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Niagara Falls emerged with a 3-2 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Nigel Slade secured the win for the Canucks with a goal in the third period.

Niagara Falls' penalty kill excelled, as the Canucks gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Niagara Falls was led by Slade, who had one goal and one assist. Slade scored 52 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-2 Niagara Falls. Ryall Ledyard assisted on the tally.

Welland was unable to stop the Canucks from sending pucks towards the net, and Niagara Falls eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. The Canucks were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Niagara Falls additionally got points from Ledyard, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Zack Lansfield also scored for Niagara Falls. Other players who recorded assists for Niagara Falls were Frank Pucci, Matthew Thorpe, and Austin Wright, who contributed one each.

The Jr. Canadians stifled Niagara Falls' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Welland was helped by JC Thivierge, who registered one goal. Thivierge scored on the power play 1:09 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Welland. Gabe Ruggi provided the assist. Welland also got a goal from Mitch Reid as well. In addition, Welland received assists from Kris Melna, who had one and Andy Paul, who had two.

Dylan Pietrangelo rejected 28 shots on goal for the Canucks. Niagara Falls registered zero goals on four power play opportunities. Chris Janzen recorded 28 saves for the Jr. Canadians. Welland incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
