LaSalle blows out Lambton Shores, 12-4

The LaSalle Vipers had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 12-4 win over the Lambton Shores Predators.

Korey Morgan was all over the ice for LaSalle, as he had four goals in the win. Morgan's first goal came 8:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:22 into the second, at 13:14 into the third, and at 18:04 into the third.

The Vipers' penalty kill excelled, as LaSalle gave up one goal despite allowing eight power plays.

The Vipers forced Lambton Shores' netminders to work all game long, racking up 46 shots and forcing 34 saves. Anthony Hurtubise made 31 stops and Andrew Harriman-Duke made three. LaSalle outdid its season average for goals scored. The Vipers have scored at the pace of 4.2 goals per game during the current campaign. LaSalle was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes. The Vipers' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

LaSalle also got points from Nicolas Crescenzi, who also registered one goal and one assist, Chris Pignanelli, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Daniel Beaudoin, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Connor Rosaasen, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Graham Pickard, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Brett Primeau, who also racked up one goal and two assists. LaSalle also had goals scored by Nikko Sablone and Brendan Harrogate, who each put in one. In addition, LaSalle received assists from Nick Gauvin, who had one and Eric Kirby and Nathan Veres, who each chipped in four.

The Predators got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Lambton Shores was helped by Colin Burns, who had one goal. Burns scored 7:20 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Sean Ross assisted on the tally. Lambton Shores additionally got points from Ethan Sarfati, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Lambton Shores included DJ Sapone and Gino Mini, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lambton Shores were Drew Marlatt, who had two and Franco Sproviero, Brenden Trottier, and Luke McEachnie, who contributed one each.

Eli Billing recorded 26 saves for LaSalle. The Vipers registered two goals on four power play opportunities. LaSalle ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Crescenzi was ejected from the game. The Predators incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
